Celebration of Life for Laurence Fortson
We are saddened to share that Laurence passed away on Tuesday, October 6th.
We will be celebrating Laurence's life on Sunday, October 18th from 3:00-5:00 p.m. at Oconee Memorial Chapel located at 2370 Hog Mountain Road, Watkinsville, GA 30677. The visitation will be at 3:00 p.m., the service following at 4:00 p.m. and the graveside burial immediately after that.
Our dear brother Laurence left an indelible mark on our guesthouse ministry through his warm heart and care for our missionary and ministry guests. Laurence went beyond the call in networking with our volunteer teams. Laurence could be counted upon to go the extra mile in accommodating the special needs of our guests. Together, with Julie Cohron, our hostess, they were the face of Missionary Care Ministry in a tangible way to our guests. He will be missed.

A lovely view from the front porch rocking chairs and swing calms the spirit and refreshes the soul. For activity and play a walking trail, creek, playscape, field for outdoor games, and picnic tables entice our guests.

Imagine a world where missionaries and pastors never leave their field of service due to burn out. We do. Our vision is to provide a Guesthouse, or REST house, free of charge for missionaries, pastors, and their families to recharge.
